In college I had a professor who would bring in real life clients to help us prepare for a graphic design job. One such client was the Rescue Ministries of Mid Michigan. That year my logo was picked as the winner for the client, you can see it here.
I never really thought about it after leaving college until one day I was walking through the Saginaw mall during Christmas and saw the logo on some Christmas bulbs. I was so excited to see my logo still being used. A few years later we heard about an amazing fundraiser called Race for Rescue with our love a puzzles we would participate every year!
Yes, the face of defeat. We just missed a place.
But, then in 2012, we won the grand prize!
On Monday, September 18th, I ate dinner at the Doubletree Bay City surrounded by the amazing individuals who support this mission everyday. If you are looking for a local organization to volunteer at or donate clothing, please think of this incredible mission. At any given night they can be providing over 200 men, women and children with shelter at City Rescue Mission and Good Samaritan Rescue Mission.
They will forever be grateful for your generosity.
